IT Governance EU slashes training prices to help those facing redundancy this Christmas

18/12/2020

In the lead up to Christmas and for those looking to start a new career in the New Year, IT Governance EU has announced up to 50% off selected training courses to help individuals who have recently been made redundant – or are at risk of redundancy - retrain in cyber security.

It has been a challenging year for many sectors, but the cyber security industry still has a huge shortage of appropriately trained professionals. With a 0% unemployment rate and an expected 3.5 million unfilled cyber security jobs globally by 2021 – a 350% increase since 2013 – there couldn’t be a better industry to kickstart a new career in as the turbulent year of 2020 comes to an end.

The offer includes up to 50% off classroom, Live Online and self-paced training courses to help individuals acquire the foundational skills and knowledge necessary to start a new career in the cyber security and data privacy sector.

The foundation-level training courses and qualifications include:

  • Certified Cyber Security Foundation: Individuals will learn how to protect organisations from threats with this CIISec and IBITGQ accredited one-day training course.
  • CISMP Training Course: Attendees will learn the principles of information security and achieve an industry-recognised qualification in just one week with this specialist led course.
  • Certified ISO 27001 ISMS Foundation: This introductory course teaches the key elements of ISO 27001 and is perfect for beginners.
  • Certified GDPR Foundation: This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will develop a practical understanding of its implications and legal requirements for organisations.

Alan Calder, Founder and Executive Chairman of IT Governance EU, said:

“Organisations currently face greater cyber threats than ever before - the pandemic incited a surge in remote working, which in turn provoked a huge increase in cyber-attacks as opportunistic criminals adapted their approach to fit new and more vulnerable targets. In these uncertain times, one thing is for certain - cyber security remains a critical business issue, and a shortage of appropriately skilled and qualified staff persists, making it an ideal choice for those looking for new career in the New Year. All of our courses are led by our expert trainers and are available live online, so individuals can learn at a time and pace that suits their needs – no matter where in the world they are.”

The offer ends on the 31st January 2021. To find out more, visit the IT Governance EU website here.
